In his book 365 Ways To Become A Millionaire Without Being Born One, Brian Koslow referred to the entrepreneurs as the rainmakers of the society. They are the people who can create so much from little or nothing. They take the risk to create a world that so many look at but only they can see. Entrepreneurs like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Michael Dell, Mohammed Al Fayed, Sir Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Mary Kay Ash of blessed memory and a host of others. Believe it or not there is an entrepreneur asleep in you only waiting for an external force to wake it up from its deep slumber. The mentioned people above aren't super human but flesh and blood just like the only thing that separates you is the perspective from which they view life. I would share with you a few of the secrets of these people for in their stories lie their secrets.
When I was a little boy, I watched a comedy titled 'Basi And Company' where Basi or Mr B as he was fondly called, would say, 'To be a millionaire, think like a millionaire. Let me paraphrase that statement by saying to be an entrepreneur, think like an entrepeneur. What makes Bill Gates the world's richest man is not his wealth but his attitude. If you want to be an entrepreneur, you have to stop thinking, talking an acting like one of the masses. Dr Mike Murdock said, 'You'll never get to the palace talking like a peasant. Albert Einstein said, 'You can't solve a problem with the same thinking that brought the problem into being. If you want to change your life, start with a change in attitude. Becoming an entrepreneur doesn't start around you, it starts inside you with a new mindset, the mindset of an entrepreneur because without it you can just remain one of the masses.
Now you have a new mindset, you are ready to go and that which will get you going is the stongest currency in the business world which is called ideas. A wise man once said 'The poorest man is not the one without a dollar but one without an idea'. The world is so full of ideas just waiting to be tapped. These ideas come in form of new ideas or old ideas that need a little transformation. Robert Kiyosaki said, 'Opportunities are not seen with the eyes'. Around you is that idea that you would launch you into megafortunes. All you need do is if no ideas come to you, look for a need and satisfy it. In conclusion an entrepreneur is simply a problem solver as well as a need satisfier.
