Calories, exercise and weight loss plans are often needlessly complex and distract you from the important key points. It is important to use a simple system that highlights the important points. It is also important to not to be too focused on one particular goal. No one single lifestyle change is enough to create sustainable weight loss.

1. Lifestyle plan not dieting
2. Don’t be too focused on numbers
3. Keep a written record of exercise
4. Keep a written record of calorie intake
5. Muscle cells burn calories
6. Its not how much you eat it’s what you eat
7. Drink water!
8. Eat fiber
9. Cardio 3x per week
10. Do what you love!

Losing weight does not mean dieting. Diets are a waste of time. You need to keep your focus on important points. Reduce the calories you consume. Increase the calories you burn. Keep a record.

Lifestyle change means that you are committed to learning how calories, exercise and weight loss work together. It means learning how you can use exercise and which kinds of exercise work for you. It means eating the right kinds of foods which you love and which give you the fuel you need. Make it a lifestyle change not a diet fad!
