Visitors wishing to visit this destination from the U.S, these are some airports that fly to this destination.There are now flights from Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) to Los Angeles (LAX) and from Los Angeles (LAX) to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point).

There are two flights one departs Puerto Penasco at 11:40am, and arrives in LAX at 12:10pm and the other one departs Puerto Penasco at 4:30pm and arrives in LAX at 5:30pm. The flight departing from LAX is at 1:30pm and arrives in Puerto Penasco at 4:00pm.

Also, there are flights from Hermosillo, Mexico to Puerto Penasco. This flight leaves Hermosillo at 10 am and arrives in Penasco at 11:00am. It then leaves Penasco at 4:30pm and arrives at Hermosillo at 5:30pm. These flights are on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Most areas in puerto penasco is safe, because it is a tourist site, and as such security is put in place to make sure that tourist are safe.
As for shuttle services, Over the last few months many have gone out of business and others have surfaced. so on arrival at the airport you Will find such services there. point to note "NEVER TAKE A FIREARM ACROSS THE BORDER!"
