The mechanics who work in the area around the Kenya co-operative creameries depot round about in Kericho town on Sunday the twenty seventh day of the month of April the year two thousand and eight held one of their workmates and bathed him by force .The mechanic is said to be a daily drinker and it is said that he gets drank as early as a half an hour past seven o’clock in the morning or eight o’clock and he rarely takes a bath.

The incident took place at eight o’clock m when the mechanic was just reporting to work but in a drunken state .His colleagues who were far younger than him rounded him up and started shouting at the top of their voices to attract the attention of everyone who was present at the place, just out side the Kericho Kenya Credit Traders branch Shop.

One person then offered to carry the whole mob to the river on his Toyota hilux four wheel drive truck so that they could bath their work mate .A funds raising was conducted and a piece of soap was quickly bought and then the whole mob drove away in the maroon colored truck amid cheers and laughter from all the people who were present on the whole street.

The Toyota truck came back about an hour later amid cheers and laughter again with the workmate bathed very clean and healed from drunkenness by the water. The mechanic didn’t look offended in any way by his workmates acts to him.

The law keeping Kenyans among the crowd wondered whether this mechanics knew anything about the law .That is the mechanics from the area around the Kenya co-operative creameries depot .Everyone wondered whether the knew what the consequences of this act could be if only their workmate took a legal step against them for what they had done to him .They could defend themselves that they are mechanics and that they can not know much about the law, yes , but still the ignorance of the law is no defense in our beloved country Kenya.

This is just but a sign of how the Kenyan public is ignorant about their own laws .Pulling someone by force up to the river in front of the public and bathing him against his own will plus all the other effects that he went through just because of the act .They were lucky that their friend didn’t want to revenge, otherwise he would have sued a whole four hundred meter long street.
