Recalling Past Lives through Dreams

childhood memories, past lives, reincarnation, revelations

The soul in sleep gives proof of its divine nature,

Have you ever thought you have lived before? The philosophy that says that after death the soul transmigrates and is born again in a new body. Many people today also believe in Metempsychosis, which proposes that you can also be born into an animal before becoming human, belief in reincarnation has been with us for a long time.

Hindu text of the "Vedus" recorded nearly 9000 years ago, teaches us that the soul moves from body to body over eons of time. It may sojourn for a while in the heavenly world, if it has done good deeds for a while on earth. It will in time reincarnate in order to evolve spiritually.

Many Eastern religions believe in reincarnation. Tibetan Buddhists believe that highly evolved souls such as the Dalai Lama, can choose which womb they will be born from for their next life. On the death of a great Lama a search is organized to discover the where abouts of a new baby Lama. Occasionally these souls are born into Western Families. Similar beliefs are held by historians that early Christians had similar beliefs. Many believers in reincarnation say that the migrating soul accumulates karma. This is the potential carried by a person that dictates what good and bad thing will befall the person. It is also determined by the good and the bad actions in the life. Perhaps the simplest method of channeling Past lives is the spontaneous insight that can come through dream recall.

Most of us have had dreams about our childhood, settings, the people and the atmosphere can be tremendously vivid. Yet if we try to recall these things in waking life they are blurry and half remembered events. We recall a number of childhood memories that are clear in our minds. In dreams we may meet our childhood friends and enemies and it feels as if not a single day has passed.

In order to recall past lives you must first train the subconscious to recall as much of your childhood as you can. At first you may be content with remembering your childhood memories, but later on you can push your dreams back to the time of your birth and then back further to your past lives. Beware! Not all childhood memories are good ones. You may uncover the scource of your inner fears. Be prepared to discover both good and bad things about your self. Approach the hidden world with a spirit of acceptance, be honest with yourself in recognizing your strength and weakness.

Your dreams can be influenced by suggestions. Just before going to sleep can easily determine your dreams. Just as your dreams can be influenced by a television program you watched before going to bed, so too can your dreams be influenced by suggestions. You can suggest dreaming about your childhood. Just as looking at photos of your childhood before going to sleep. By using the technique regularly every night you will soon start dreaming about your childhood.

The brain is like a biological computer that can be programed. Asking your unconscious to do specific things while you are asleep helps you control your feelings and worries. "Write your dreams down." Discover a pattern. Take an imaginary journey down the corridors of your life. Relive your time there as if it were only yesterday. Your dreams will help you bring your past alive.

Look through your dream diary to see if any dreams relate to your childhood. You may be surprised to see how many are. Dream memories from your early years are just as vivid as the ones you recall from yesterday. It is an amazing exercise to see how much you can remember from your early childhood. My most vivid dream is being a baby in a car along side my mother while my father was trying to teach her to drive. She crashes into the back fence of the yard. On the first day of school, grade one, when school was dismissed I tried walking home on my own and eventually found my way home crying because I was lost. By working on your childhood memories given to you by your dreams you will also draw closer to the unconscious memories you have of birth and being in the womb.

All of us retain a memory about birth some where in our brain. Dreams are the key to recalling this most important experience. Clearly birth recall is not always a pleasant experience, but I am sure it is of benefit to remember and intergrate the experience. By working with your dreams in a systematic way. You will gradually move back further in your memories to a time before you were born.

Dreamscapes have many clues that point to many memories of past lives. A Dreamscape or Landscape dream can take many forms and my have many levels of meaning. Think about the inner Landscape of the mind that are present when you dream. These Landscapes can be interpreted in a number of different ways. Once you have eliminated dreamscapes that have a clear symbolic meaning you are left with a number of locations that can not be explained. In most cases it is impossible to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that a dream relates to a past life experience. How ever in most cases dream relevations about past lives are likely to remain unproven. I suppose it finally comes down to a gut feeling an unshakable knowing that comes down from deep within you. The memories in your unconscious are immortal.

Although the memory of past lives has vanished from your mind if the appropriate brain cells are awakened, you would be able to remember everything. Very often, these select areas of the mind are opened during sleep and the memories awaken during your dreams. The habits you cultivated in past lives have created your physical, mental, and emotional make up in this life. If you work with your ability at dream recall over many years you will access the deepest buried memories from the unconscious. Not only will you awaken your memory of human lives but also animal lives as well in your dreams during many past lives.

The future belongs to those who believe in their dreams.
