The Sussex based stocktaking firm Rutters Stocktakers
have added two prestigious venues to their growing list of clients.
One of London’s finest clubs, Aspinalls approached the Brighton stocktaking company with a view to regular auditing of their impressive liquor and food stock. Rutters’ man in London Trevor Halliday is the stocktaker carrying the pressure of counting each bottle in their impressive cellar.
The Evening Standard were taken aback by the swanky venue “I thought Ducasse at the Dorchester was a theme park for the super-rich.
I know nothing. Here’s the Aspinalls in-house magazine, populated with characters called Drummond Money-Coutts and Balthazar Fabricius and peppered with ads for improbably large diamonds and yachts. What I take to be a piece on professional hit men (well, it is called ‘Gun for hire’) is a blameless puff for some luxury Caribbean property. But with this lot, you never know.
The bar is beautiful, all jewelled silks, goatskin sofas, chandeliers and colonial artefacts. It’s hard to believe it’s a recent revamp.”
Back to stocktaking and there was further good news for Rutters when they were approached by the prestigious Wickwoods Country Club. Recently transformed by new GM Matt Warren, Wickwoods is looking like a dream. With abundant interest for this venue as the ideal wedding location the future looks bright for both Rutters Stocktakers as well as Wickwoods.
Company Director Jon Rutter told us “We are delighted to be associated with two more high profile venues such as these. It again proves that during a general downturn in trade throughout the sector, margins are becoming increasingly tight and the role of an experienced stocktaker more important.”
“A regular stocktake gives an instant snapshot regarding the financial health of the business and pinpoints any problems which can be addressed immediately”
