Sweet Bread has come to Kericho Kenya at last!

The kind of bread that the people of Kericho have been eating has been eating since the dawn of civilization has been of the lowest quality than anyone can think of. The bread was very hard, like hide and the top was very black and the taste, it was very bitter .It tasted like very strong alcohol .After eating the bread, some one would go on belching very bitter liquids from deep at the base of the stomach. The liquids would then choke and almost stop someone from breathing. It was terrible what the bread looked like.

The coming of the Gotab Sanik bakeries was expected to bring some relief from this when they replaced the old Sitima Bakery .The bread was good at the beginning when the bakery was still new to the town, but slowly by slowly the quality of the bread has deteriorated and has almost gone back to what the old bread in the town used to look like .In other words, it is just kneaded dough then past over fire and nothing more. They don’t mind about the quality a lot nowadays and the Gotab Sanik bakeries didn’t do anything beyond normal bread and the pyramid shaped cakes and scones .If you wanted a wedding cake or a birthday cake,you had to go looking for it up to the capital city ,Nairobi’s o those who grew up in this town didn’t have the chance to know anything about pastry and things of the like.

No one had known about the varieties of cakes and scones that are available at the new opportunity bakery until their coming about five months ago .It is the first bakery of its type in the town and we urge them to keep up with the times .May they watch the quality of their bread so that we can get good quality bread .Keep up the stiff competition so that we can keep up the quality of the bread ,Their bread needs some more touching so that it can match with the other brands like Super loaf and Tosti or the Elliot’s Bakeries bread that used to come from Nakuru.

There have been not more than three bakeries in this town since the dawn of civilization or perhaps if we are not well informed. And the coming of the Opportunity Bakery is a step a head in development.
