The most relevant approach to see the Technology (part II)

There are certain approachs to see the technology: pragmatic, prescriptive, social-constructive, essentialism, hermeneutic approach, etc. The prescriptive approach, what divided the reality of technology by neat categories of linear causality and disciplinary ontology, isn’t relevant.

In other words, the prescriptive approach, that resolves the culture from the technology or sees the technology as the parasite in culture, is naïve. Now, culture is formed by technology and vice versa. The pragmatic approach, what sees the technology just as problem of function and efficiency, is unrelevant too.

In other side, the social-constructive approach claims that everything is the result of social configuration, man is product of environtment. But this approach is unrelevant because it contains the lockeans view what sees man as the blank/vacant paper and contains the stimulus-response principle what defines knowledge just as reaction to external stimulus. Instead, Freudian’s psychoanalysis principles what sees man based on “lack principle” is unrelevant because man doesn’t merely have tension to self affirmation. The essentialism approach, that imagines reality consist of autonomous entities in their closed system, isn’t adequate to see the technology.

Therefore, we need new approach to see this technology. The new approach on technology must contain some principle:
  • technology must be approached from worldview that see reality more as relational complexity, as the “fuzzy” and indeterminate web.

  • this new approach on technology must be transgressive, transgresses every conceptual categories. Inter-disciplinary approach is the absolute to see the technology because it can analyze the “precariousness/indeterminacy of technology.

  • the emerging of implosion between the fiction and the fact in technology requires this approach to consider the non-scientific entities, like images.

  • last but not least, the hermeneutical approach must be needed: we must dismantle or interogate our selves endlessly if we face the complexity of reality.
